The meeting places Gottsunda and Bäcklösa are run by Uppsalahem, and in the summer of 2026, we will open for the eighth consecutive year for summer activities for children and youth. With these meeting places, we aim to contribute to creating safety, community, and meaningful encounters through fun and open activities throughout the summer break. We are now looking for more hosts who want to help make the summer in Gottsunda and Bäcklösa extra fun!

Your mission with us

Working as a host at the meeting places is an active, fast-paced, and fun summer job. Together with other hosts and 1-2 coordinators, you will work to ensure that the meeting places Gottsunda and Bäcklösa are welcoming, safe, and enjoyable places for children and youth to visit. You will have the opportunity to influence what we do at the meeting place, and if you have experience from associations, sports, or similar, it is a strength.

The work is very varied, and some examples of activities that you will lead and participate in include various sports, games, and creative activities. The meeting places also collaborate with associations that regularly come to us. No prior knowledge is required to participate, which means we adapt the activities to the participants.

We are looking for you who:

  • are currently enrolled in high school

  • love working with children

  • are creative, playful, and engaged

  • enjoy working in a team

The recruitment process ahead

If you are interested in working as a host at the meeting places, you should mention this in your application and explain why you believe you would be a good fit for the job. If you proceed in the process, you will be invited to a group interview. After that, you will receive feedback on whether you have been accepted and during which period you will work if so. For this job, a criminal record extract is required, which you will order yourself, and for those who are minors, a guardian's signature is required.
